On Tuesday, February 18, the So Art Gallery hosted the opening of Face Value, a striking solo exhibition by renowned Ghanaian artist Adjei Tawiah. Held at 6:30 p.m. as part of his artist residency, the evening offered guests an intimate encounter with the artist and his thought-provoking work. Running from February 18 through March 31, Face Value offered a powerful exploration of identity, emotion, and the unseen layers beneath our public personas. Through his signature technique of using sponges as a primary tool, Tawiah created deeply textured compositions that balanced softness with emotional intensity.
